When to board the flight?

To ensure a smooth travel experience, we recommend that you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight's departure time. Upon arrival, please proceed to one of our check-in desks where we will verify your documents and provide you with your boarding pass.

 

It's important to note that check-in closes 60 minutes before your flight's scheduled departure time. Boarding usually begins 45 minutes before the flight's departure, and gates close 20 minutes before takeoff.

 

In case you arrive late, you won't be able to board the flight, and your baggage will be offloaded. It's always best to arrive at the airport well before the recommended time to avoid any last-minute hassles.

 

Fly Dubai Baggage Allowance

 

Hand Baggage Allowance:

You are allowed to carry hand baggage on all flydubai flights, provided that it meets the airline's hand baggage rules. In this regard, you can find all the information related to flydubai's hand baggage allowance, travelling with smart bags, and prohibited items in your carry-on luggage.

The maximum weight, dimensions, and number of items allowed for hand baggage are as follows:

Economy Class: 1 item, with a maximum weight of 7 kg and maximum dimensions of 55 x 38 x 20 cm.

Business Class: 2 items, with a total maximum weight of 14 kg* and maximum dimensions of 55 x 38 x 20 cm. However, each piece of hand baggage should not weigh more than 7 kg.

*Please note that each piece of hand baggage should not weigh more than 7 kg, even if you are carrying two items.

 

Also, please make sure that your hand baggage does not exceed the maximum dimensions, so that you can store it in the overhead locker.

 

In addition to your main hand baggage allowance, you are allowed to carry one of the following types of bags, which can be stored under the seat in front of you, and should not exceed the dimensions of 25 x 33 x 20 cm:

Checked Baggage Allowance:

When you book your flight, the amount of checked baggage you can take will depend on the fare type you select. Additionally, if you want to carry more than what's included in your fare, you can pre-buy additional baggage allowance. The following is the baggage allowance for Economy and Business classes:

 

Economy Class:

- Maximum number of items: up to 3 (pre-paid)

- Maximum weight: 20, 30 or 40 kg

- Maximum dimensions: H + W + D = max 165 cm

 

Business Class:

- Maximum number of items: up to 3

- Maximum weight: 40 kg

- Maximum dimensions: H + W + D = max 165 cm

 

Please note that you can check in up to 3 pieces of baggage, but their total weight shouldn't exceed the baggage allowance specified in your booking confirmation. Each piece of baggage should weigh less than 32 kg and not exceed the maximum dimensions of 165 cm (height + width + depth)/

 

Fly Dubai Airlines Extra Baggage Charges

If you are traveling on economy class with Fly Dubai Airlines, you can choose to have a prepaid check-in baggage allowance of 20 kg. However, options of 30 kg and 40 kg will only be available if there is enough space. In case you need extra baggage allowance, you can purchase it through the 'Manage my booking' section of the airline's website, by calling the airline's customer service center, or at the airport.

Passengers will be charged an additional fee for any checked baggage beyond the three bag limit, even if the total weight is within their baggage allowance. The fees vary based on the origin and destination.

Can I check in online if I have a codeshare or an interline booking?

If the first flight of your booking is operated by flydubai, you can check in online for all flights. However, if the first flight is not operated by flydubai, you will not be able to check in online with flydubai. This applies to all codeshare and interline bookings that are not operated by flydubai.

 

Is it possible to include my Emirates Skywards membership number while checking in online?

During online check-in, you can add your Emirates Skywards or Fly Dubai Skywards membership number.

Once I complete online check-in, will I be provided with a boarding pass?

If you have checked in online, you may still need to collect your boarding pass at the airport check-in desk, depending on the destination airport. In case you have not received your boarding pass after checking in online, you should head to the airport check-in desk to verify your travel documents, check in any baggage, and receive your printed boarding pass.

What will happen if I miss my flight?

If you book a 'Lite' or 'Value' fare in Economy Class and do not show up for your flight, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.

If you purchased a 'Flex' or 'Business' fare, you can reschedule your flight within 720 hours (30 days) of the original departure time. In such cases, you will be charged for the difference in fare. Please keep in mind that if you are unable to rebook your flight within the time frame given, your booking will be canceled, and you will not be eligible for a refund.

 

What if I am denied travel?

If you are denied boarding on a flight for which you have a valid booking confirmation, you will be eligible to travel on the next available Fly Dubai flight. You will also receive refreshments and a Fly Dubai voucher for the full value of your booking.

 

How much luggage am I allowed to bring on my flight?

Depending on the type of ticket you have, you can choose whether or not to carry checked baggage. If you need to carry more than the baggage allowance included in your ticket, you can purchase additional baggage allowance in advance. On all flydubai flights, you can carry up to 7 kilograms of carry-on luggage in economy class and up to 14 kilograms in business class.

 

What should I do if my flight is canceled by Fly Dubai?

If your flight gets cancelled, you have two options available:

1. Rebooking: You can rebook your flight without any penalty or fee difference up to 10 days from your original travel date or to the next available flight.
2. Rebook more than ten days after your original travel date: You can still rebook your flight without any penalty. However, if there is any fare difference, you will have to pay it.

Or you can apply for REFUND.
